Hello
What I have is probably unique, which is why I'll be brief. Going into all the details would be too long and uninteresting. However, I'd be happy to share my full story if I find someone with the same symptoms.
I skydived from 6000m at the age of 30, two years and half ago. I experienced a strong but not too severe ear pain during the fall. Once landed, an extremely bizarre sensation appeared only in my left ear. It was constant, uncomfortable, and indescribable but fortunately painless. This sensation gradually faded after four long weeks, and I haven't had any other symptoms.
For three months, everything was fine until I went skiing for a day. The discomfort (still painless) returned to my left ear, even though I had forgotten about it. Since then, for 2 years and 3 months now, this unpleasant sensation has been coming and going constantly, with varying intensity, and I can't explain it. (Has my ear become extremely sensitive to altitude/pressure changes?)
I've tried everything to cure it, but one thing is certain – even time hasn't made it go away.
I've consulted multiple GP and ENT doctors, undergone all possible medical tests and examinations, including an MRI. All results are "normal." (The only abnormality is that my left ear developed hyperacusis to very loud sounds 7/8 years ago.)
Since doctors don't know what I have and haven't found anything similar online, I feel compelled to cast this message in a bottle. Thank you for taking the time to read.
